This week we will begin to learn about the factors which contributed to the rise of Japanese aggression in East Asia at the turn of the 20th century.

3. Week 3: 1.2 Japanese Expansion (1931-1941)

This week we will continue to analyze how rising militarism and nationalism influenced Japanese expansion. The international community and China are struggling to find a solution to limiting Japanese aggression in Asia.

4. Week 4: 1.3 International Response to Japanese Aggression (1931-1941)

5. Week 5: Paper 1 Practice and IB Readiness

This week we will look at a new country--Italy. Just like Japan, we will analyze the reasons for Italian expansion during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

7. Week 7: Italian Expansion (1933-1940)
